Terms of Service

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of PaedVault (“PaedVault”, “we”, “us”), the revision platform available at paedvault.com. By creating an account or using the service you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use PaedVault.

1. Who we are

PaedVault provides past-paper questions, a topic-tagged question bank, and study notes for candidates preparing for the Foundation of Practice (FOP), Theory and Science (TAS), and Applied Knowledge in Practice (AKP) components of the MRCPCH examination. PaedVault is an independent product and has no affiliation with, and is not endorsed or reviewed by, the Royal College of Paediatrics and Child Health. See our Disclaimer for more detail.

2. Accounts

You must provide accurate information when creating an account and are responsible for keeping your login credentials confidential. You must be at least 16 years old to create an account. One account is for one person's individual use; accounts may not be shared, sold, or transferred. We may suspend or terminate an account we reasonably believe is being shared or used fraudulently.

3. Subscriptions and billing

Each exam (FOP, TAS, AKP) is sold as a separate subscription. Subscriptions are billed in advance, either monthly or every three months, and renew automatically until cancelled. Prices are shown in GBP inclusive of any applicable tax at checkout. Payments are processed by Stripe; we do not store your card details.

• You can cancel a subscription at any time from Settings, via the billing portal.
• Cancelling stops future renewals; you keep access to the exam you cancelled until the end of the period you have already paid for.
• We do not offer refunds for partial subscription periods, except where required by law.
• If a renewal payment fails, we will retry it automatically for a limited period. Access continues during this window; if payment continues to fail, your subscription will be cancelled and access will end.
• Prices may change on renewal; we will give you reasonable notice beforehand.

4. Free tier

A PaedVault account without an active subscription can access, for each exam, the single most recently published past paper (with full explanations) and the first topic of every study section, at no cost. The rest of the content requires an active subscription for that exam.

5. Acceptable use and content protection

All questions, explanations, study notes, and other material on PaedVault (“Content”) are protected by copyright and database rights and are licensed to you for personal, non-commercial revision use only, for as long as your account remains in good standing. You must not:

• copy, reproduce, screenshot, scrape, or redistribute Content in any form;
• share your account or Content with anyone who does not hold their own subscription;
• use automated tools, browser extensions, or scripts to extract Content or to bypass rate limits or access controls;
• resell, sublicense, or use Content to create a competing product or a third-party question bank.

We use technical measures to protect Content, including copy prevention and watermarking for free-tier accounts (see our Acceptable Use Policy for detail). We may suspend or terminate an account found to be in breach of this section, without refund.

6. Content accuracy

MRCPCH papers are confidential and are never published by the RCPCH. Our past-paper content is reconstructed from candidate recalls, then reviewed and cross-checked against current UK clinical guidance and standard paediatric references. We take reasonable care to keep Content accurate and current, but we do not guarantee that any question, answer, or explanation is error-free or reflects the exact wording of a real examination. If you spot an issue, please use the “Report issue” feature — we review every report.

7. No guarantee of exam success

PaedVault is a revision aid. We do not guarantee that using PaedVault will result in you passing any part of the MRCPCH examination, and pass marks shown in the product are indicative benchmarks, not the RCPCH's published standard for any sitting.

8. Availability

We aim to keep PaedVault available at all times but do not guarantee uninterrupted access. We may suspend the service for maintenance, or withdraw features (including specific exams, mocks, or sittings), with reasonable notice where practical.

9. Termination

You may delete your account at any time from Settings. We may suspend or terminate your account if you breach these Terms, including the acceptable use rules in Section 5. On termination, any active subscription is cancelled; amounts already paid for the current period are not refunded except where required by law.

10. Liability

To the extent permitted by law, PaedVault is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind. We are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, including exam outcomes. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited under English law, including for death, personal injury caused by negligence, or fraud.

11. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we will notify you by email or an in-app notice before they take effect. Continued use of PaedVault after a change takes effect means you accept the updated Terms.

12. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any dispute arising from these Terms or your use of PaedVault will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
